In relation to Sport & Sports organisations, over the past 5 years, Shortland Consulting has –

• delivered a number of governance, strategy & risk development sessions to individual directors connected to Netball, Rugby Union, AFL, Swimming, and Rugby League clubs (metropolitan and regional);
  
  

• facilitated board evaluation report conversations for boards including those connected to Rugby League (metropolitan and regional), Swimming and Racing, and
  
  

• with Dr Vince Murdoch of Murdoch Associates co-authored a comprehensive governance review for ClubsNSW that encompassed engagement with a number of sporting organisations.

• As a Director of the ChildFund Australia Board, David sat as a member of the Board Sub-Committee that oversaw the work of ChildFund’s Rugby World Cup Task Force as ChildFund was World Rugby’s principal charity partner for Rugby World Cup 2019.
